Illustrated portraits are available in three different sizes. They are made with watercolors and colored pencils. You can find some artworks in the gallery. Three very simple steps are necessary to make before ordering : choose the size, the picture(s) of the animal(s) you want me to draw and the background.
The paper and the size
The illustrated portraits are made on 300 gsm (140 lbs) 100% cotton watercolor paper or on 265 gsm (125 lbs) 90% bamboo fibers and 10% rag ecological paper.
I propose 3 sizes for my custom portraits : A6 (10.5 x 14.8 cm), A5 (14.8 x 21 cm) or A4 (21 x 29.7 cm). Any other sizes (square or rectangular) between 10.5 cm and 29.7 cm are also accepted. I also choose the orientation of the illustration (portrait or landscape) according to the pose of the animal and/or the eventual background. If you have a preference, do not hesitate to tell me when commissioning !
The picture of your pet
So that the portrait is as accurate as possible (arrangement of spots, stripes, eyes, pads and nose color, etc), the quality of the photo you provide me must be good. Several pictures showing the animal under different angles would be ideal. You can choose the pose of your pet (within reason !), but if you have no idea, I can help you!
You can choose between a simple background or a complexe background. The simple background consists of a white one with or without spots or shapes (circles, squares, rectangles, whatever you want !) of the color of your choice. For a more detailed background, you can choose natural elements (leaves, flowers, etc) or object (your pet’s favorite toy, for example). If you have no idea which elements and/or colors to choose, I can help you !
You made your choice ? So let’s go !
To place an order, a form is available at the bottom of this page. You can tell me about your project, as well as include the pictures of your pet if you already have selected some. When your project is set, you can then pay a deposit of 30% or 50% of the amount of the order, or pay the entire amount, so that I can start the first step of the illustration.
Before starting the final illustration, I will send you a picture of the initial sketch so that you can approve or suggest any changes. I will send you a new message once the illustration is finished to show you the final result. If everything suits you, the illustration will be protected by a fixing spray. If you have decided to pay in several installments, you can at this step pay the rest of the total amount so I can mail the illustration.
The illustration is sent in a cardboard envelope, in which it is protected in a waterproof sleeve (usually vegetable or reused plastic) and reinforced with a sheet of cardboard matching the size of the illustration.
The prices vary according to the request: size of the illustration, number of animals, background, … Send me a message specifying what you want, I will give you a precise quote. If you are not sure what you exactly want, I can give you examples of prices to help you make your decision. Once I have given you my rates, they are guaranteed for two months to give you time to decide.
